Born in Denver, Colorado, Pastor Mahlon Ozmun was raised
in a Presbyterian Church where his father served as an elder. He
attended the University of Colorado and after beginning a career as a
Financial Analyst and Stockbroker, he felt a strong call to the
ministry. With an open heart and a desire to reap the benefits of
the Lord's unique plan for his life, Pastor Ozmun (Oz) enrolled at Rhema
Bible Training Center, where he learned both practical and spiritual
truths. After graduating in 1987, he married Jane Gervase, also a
licensed and ordained pastor from Rhema, and the
couple began their ministry at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in
suburban Denver. There they served for three years as both the Assistant
Pastor and Youth Pastor.
In 1991, Pastor Oz and Jane felt the Lord calling them
out of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, after much prayer and fasting
they moved their family to the Detroit area where they waited for the
leading of the Lord. A short time later, Lighthouse Christian
Fellowship (LCF) began meeting at the Birmingham Community House in
Birmingham, MI. LCF currently meets at Pilgrim Congregational Church in
Bloomfield Hills, MI.
Pastor Oz and Jane hold fast to the biblical truths and
principles taught at Rhema. For over 10 years they have helped the
congregation at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship realize their full
potential as spiritual leaders in today's society. They have counseled
and restored the hearts of broken marriages, families dealing with
addiction, and survivors of abuse.

As
both an evangelist and teacher, Rev. Jane Ozmun regularly exhorts
the congregation of Lighthouse. Her evangelistic style and
heart stir up the faith of the congregation and reinforces the
vision for both Lighthouse and it's members. Rev. Jane Ozmun has
also traveled and ministered God's truths to women regarding such
topics as P.M.S. and menopause. Being a minister's wife, a mother
to three, and a Pastor herself, Rev. Jane Ozmun has a unique
perspective on the trials and difficulties women face. This
perspective has opened the doors for countless women to be
encouraged and set free. As well as being a vital tool in the five
fold ministry, Rev. Jane is also the LCF Office Administrator,
coordinating the helps ministry and paid staff.
It has been more then ten years and both Pastor Oz's
and Rev. Jane's hearts
still go out to Birmingham and the surrounding communities.
This desire to reach out has opened doors for both Pastor Oz and Jane, to be recognized as Chaplains,
working within local law enforcement. Both Pastor Oz and Jane are trained
in crisis counseling as well as spiritual counseling. On November
27, 2000, Pastor Oz was sworn in as the first official volunteer Chaplin
for the Birmingham Police Department. Since then, Pastor Oz has also
accepted an invitation to become the Chaplain for the Birmingham
Fire Department. In the time since Pastor Oz and
Jane completed the Chaplains program, several members of Lighthouse have gone on to become certified Chaplains.
